The Christian Fellowship Church of Rhineland traces its beginning to a children’s ministry begun in 1943 by Jacob J.M. Friesen, as an affiliate of the Emmaus Mennonite group of churches. In 1958, it formally organized as an independent Mennonite church called Christian Fellowship Church of Rhineland. The first building had been occupied in 1954.

J.J.M. Friesen led the Christian Fellowship Church of Rhineland to joined the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Conference (known as Fellowship of Evangelical Bible Churches, 1987-), before he moved on to take up pastoral duties at the EMB church in Saskatoon (later known as the North Park Bible Church). In 1965 there were 105 members; in 1975, 123; in 1985, 140. The language of worship is English.

Alvin Buhler served in 2010 as a congregational leader. Tim Knelsen was serving as the lead pastor in 2021.
