Casa de Oracion Emanuel (Davenport, Iowa, USA)
The Segunda Iglesia Evangelica Menonita (Second Spanish Mennonite Church) in Davenport, Iowa, began in 1977 as a mission project of the Iowa-Nebraska Mennonite Conference mission board.
Mac and Mary Bustos, after they left Iglesia Evangelica Menonita that they had started in 1963, began a new Hispanic ministry in 1977 in Davenport, Iowa, that became the Segunda Iglesia Evangelica Menonita.
The congregation was not listed in the 1992 Mennonite Yearbook. A Hispanic church reemerged at a new location in Davenport under Aureliano Vazquez's leadership. A couple of years later, it changed its name to Casa de Oracion Emanuel.
In 2023 the congregation was part of the Central Plains Conference of Mennonite Church USA.
