Buhl Church of God in Christ, Mennonite (Buhl, Idaho, USA)
The Buhl Church of God in Christ, Mennonite congregation west of Buhl, Idaho, USA was established in July 1970. The congregation started after families from Glenn, California explored settlement opportunities in the area beginning in 1967. The first families moved to the Buhl area at the end of 1968.
The congregation met in homes until February 1971 when it rented a building in the small city of Buhl (population of 4,000 in 2010). A property west of Buhl was purchased in 1972, and a new church built. The first services were held there on 10 June 1973.
In 1995 the church was full, and the decision was made to divide the congregation. The congregation built another church building between Buhl and Filer. In March 1996 the Valley View congregation formed, and the new building was dedicated on 19 May 1996.
The Buhl congregation began the Deep Creek Mennonite School in 1978 in the church basement. A new school was completed the following year.
In 2020 the congregation was part of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. The ministers were Carl Koehn, Scott Koehn, Harold Eck, and Don Koehn.
