Bredenbury Church of God in Christ (Saltcoats, Saskatchewan, Canada)

The Bredenbury Church of God in Christ, Mennonite congregation in Saltcoats, Saskatchewan, Canada had its roots in families moving to the area from Steinbach, Manitoba in search of affordable mixed-farming land. The Norman Wohlgemuth family was the first to arrive in 1966. Initially, the several families worshipped with the Roblin congregation some 80 km away. More families arrived by 1971, and the congregation organized in April 1971. Norman Wohlgemuth was ordained as the first resident minister on 17 March 1972.
For several years the congregation rented a church in Saltcoats. A new building was erected in 1977. It added a new sanctuary in 1997/98.
The congregation also operated the Countryside School. It began in the church basement in 1977; a three-room school was built in 1979.
The cemetery is at the church site.
In 2020 the congregation was part of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. The active ministers were Laurel Wiebe, Tim Warkentin, and Narcenio Cano.
