Bonga, Lykele (1892-1952)
Lykele Bonga (b. Ternaard, 11 December 1892, d. Leeuwarden, 16 October 1952), at first a teacher, then studied theology at the university and Mennonite seminary at Amsterdam, and served as pastor at Dantumawoude 1921-1926, Leiden 1926-1934, and Leeuwarden 1934-1952. He was also a poet; he wrote the hymn of the Friese Doopsgezinde Jongeren Bond and published a volume of poems, Als glas in lood (Leeuwarden, 1938).
