The Bethany Church in New York City, [[New York (USA)|New York]], USA was established in about 2003. The congregation started at the initiative of Pastor Abraham Alex Tanusaputera, Senior Pastor of Bethany Church of [[Indonesia]]. He mandated Yacub Limanto to initiate the outreach in Queens, New York. 

After a month of holding a prayer meeting at home with a group of seven, the congregation agreed to seek a place of worship. Until then, the Bethany Church was renting a room from another local church.

In time, Pastor Limanto met with Beny Krisbianto from [[Franconia Mennonite Conference (Mennonite Church USA)|Franconia Mennonite Conference]] and developed a relationship with other Indonesian congregations. When it became part of the Franconia Conference it took the name Bethany Elevation Community Church.

In 2021 the congregation was part of the [[Mosaic Mennonite Conference (Mennonite Church USA)|Mosaic Mennonite Conference]]. The minister was Yacub Limanto. The language of worship in 2021 was Indonesian.
