This short confession of 13 articles, signed by 12 church leaders, including Rippert Eenkes, Hans Alenson, and Hans de Ries, was composed during the conflict of the church in Amsterdam with Nittert Obbes, one of the preachers, who leaned toward Socinianism. It is to be considered as a supplement of the Waterlander Confession of 1610 (Korte Belijdenis).
