Behta Daryia Community Church (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
The Behta Darya Community Church of Toronto, Ontario, Canada was a church plant in 2004. Behta Darya means "flowing river" (taken from Ezekiel 47). The congregation was led by the pastoral couple, Vichal and Rafiqua Masih, and was very multicultural, using the languages of Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu and English. Attendance averaged 80-100 in 2004. It was first known as Behta Darya Asian Church.
The congregation worshiped with much praying and fasting, including monthly all-night prayer meetings. They also sought God for miracles in answer to prayers for healing.
By 2009 some 400 people were connected to its various ministries and the congregation was seeking to raise money for a building of its own. This did not happen; in 2017 the congregation met on Sunday afternoons at the New Life Christian Assembly. Worship was in Punjabi and English.
