The Bartlett Church of God in Christ, Mennonite congregation in Bartlett, Colorado, USA was established in 1930. The congregation started when families in Kansas and Oklahoma began to search for better economic opportunities and began to locate in Baca County, Colorado, just west of the Kansas state line. The settler farmers grew crops of wheat and other grains, while also raising chickens, hogs, and cattle.

Most of the settlers located around Walsh and Bartlett formed a congregation with A. T. Koehn as the first minister. Often church services were held in a schoolhouse north of Bartlett. The ordination of Albert Dirks took place on 17 December 1932.

It soon became evident the climate was entering a dry cycle, and crops became less and less successful. Many had to turn to work building a road from the state line to Walsh with horses and hard manual labor. Dust storms also became a serious problem, and by the end of 1935, all the families had moved to other locations.

Walsh Church of God in Christ Mennonite Church, now extinct, located eight miles south of Walsh, Baca County, Colorado, was organized in 1930 with A. T. Koehn as minister and Jonas W. Koehn as deacon, and a membership of 40. It reached a membership of 80. Worship services were held in schools. Since additional members moved in, a second congregation of 80 members was organized 5 miles north of Bartlett. Albert Dirks and Jesse H.
