Bückert was a Mennonite family name in the rural Flemish congregations of West Prussia. In 1776 five families of this name were listed in West Prussia (without Danzig), and in 1935 nineteen persons. The name has also been found among the Mennonites of South Russia and Manitoba. J. P. Bueckert of Gretna, Manitoba was the elder of the Blumenort congregation.
