Reyer Anslo was the nephew of [[Anslo, Cornelis Claesz (1592-1646)|Cornelis Claesz Anzo]]. Reyer Anslo was the nephew of Cornelis Claesz Anzo. He was born in Amsterdam in 1626 and died at Perugia, Italy, 16 May 1669. A distinguished poet, he wrote 155 Bijbelsche Printverbeeldingen, De Parijssche Bruyloft (a tragedy), De Martelfyoon van Steven, Schilderkroon and De Pest te Napels.
