Anadol Forestry Service Camp (Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine)

The Anadol Forestry Service Camp, or Anadoler Forstei, was located in the Russian (now Ukrainian) province of Ekaterinoslav (now Dnipropetrovsk), district of Mariupol. It was established for Mennonite young men as an alternative to military service in 1880, about five miles (eight km) from the railroad station of Gross-Anadol and Volnovacha, and occupied by an average of 170 men.
