The <em>Algemeen Doopsgezind Weekblad</em> (now entitled <em>Doopsgezind NL</em>) is a publication of the [[Algemene Doopsgezinde Societeit|Algemene Doopsgezinde Sociëteit]] in the [[Netherlands|Netherlands]]. Its first issue appeared on 5 October 1946. It was preceded by [[Zondagsbode, De|De Zondagsbode]], which was ordered to cease publication by the German occupation authorities, the last number being that of 21 June 1942. After the liberation several numbers of a small paper, <em>[[Noodbrug, De (Periodical)|De Noodbrug]], </em>were published. It was largely through the efforts of [[Nijdam, Cornelis (1884-1946)|C. Nijdam]], at the time chairman of the Algemene Doopsgezinde Sociëteit (ADS), that the <em>Weekblad </em>came into being; its purpose was to form a bond among all the Mennonite congregations in the Netherlands.
