African Community Church of Lancaster (Manheim, Pennsylvania, USA)
The African Community Church of Lancaster, Manheim, Pennsylvania, USA began in September 2001 as a congregation made up of members with roots in Eastern and Southern Africa, including Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zimbabwe. The founding pastor was Samuel Wanjau who had originally been ordained by the African Inland Mission Association in Kenya.
After renting space for many years, most recently in the Rohrerstown Mennonite Church, the congregation purchased its own property in Manheim, Pennsylvania in 2020. This allowed the group to hold longer worship services, prayer meetings, and have increased space for children and youth activities.
In 2021 the congregation was part of the Atlantic Coast Conference of Mennonite Church USA. The minister was Sam Wanjau.
