Sytze Dirks (d. 1535)

Dirks Sytze (Zijtze), an Anabaptist martyr, was sentenced to death by the Court of Holland on 16 May 1535. He was a native of Gauw, Friesland. In March 1534 he had joined the Anabaptists who sailed from Amsterdam intending to go to Münster. At Bergklooster he was arrested. Sytze is said to have been an Anabaptist preacher.
