Claes Dirksz, an Anabaptist martyr, taken prisoner at Krommeniedijk, Dutch province of North Holland, was, according to van Braght (Martyrs’ Mirror) put to death in 1542. This is certainly wrong. In all probability it was 1534 (see  Doopsgezinde Bijdragen 1917), on 27 April. Claes, who had participated in the journey to  Münster in March 1534 (see Bergklooster), was beheaded.
