The Rosenfeld Ruderweider Mennonite congregation began services in 1937. The first building was occupied in 1937. Peter D. Berg and Johan Funk are considered the founding leaders of the group. The congregation originated through division from the Sommerfelder Mennonites. For many years the congregation had Sunday school together with the Bergthaler Mennonites. Minister Dave Sawatzky served in 1972 as a congregational leader.

In 1965 there were 41 members. The congregation dissolved in 1972. It had been affiliated with the Evangelical Mennonite Mission Conference. The language of worship was German and English; the transition from German occurred in 1955-59.
