Ring Dantumawoude is an association of Mennonite churches in the Dutch province of Friesland. After Ring Akkrum and Ring Bolsward were organized, the need for a similar federation in northeast Friesland became apparent. D. Plantinus, preacher of Holwerd and Blija, invited delegates from the church to meet at Dokkum on 6 August 1850, to discuss and adopt a preliminary constitution that he had drafted. Representatives of nine congregations appeared: Surhuisterveen, Veenwoudsterwal, Dantumawoude, Ternaard, Holwerd-Blija, Oudebildtzijl, Hallum, and Ameland (Flemish and Waterlander) who formed a temporary union, "in order to support one another with regular preaching service in the event of sickness or a vacancy." The union was soon joined by the combined congregations of Rottevalle and Witveen. Dragten and Leeuwarden thanked Plantinus for the invitation; the latter promised to give as much service as possible to the Ring, but felt it did not need it itself. St. Anna-Parochie joined in 1872, and Berlikum in 1874.

On 6 September 1855 the Ring began its work. Nes and Hollum on Ameland received special terms. In 1916 the congregation known as Kring Zwaagwesteinde, which does not have a preacher, was granted Ring service. The church at Dokkum, since it had more Mennonite members than Remonstrant, was received into the Ring in 1917 with full rights and obligations.

For a minister incapacitated by illness the service of the Ring lasted not more than a year, unless a majority of Ring members decide otherwise. For the widow or minor orphan of a deceased minister the service continued for six months. In 1954 the Ring comprised twelve congregations: Ameland, St. Anna Parochie, Berlikum, Hallum, Holwerd, Oudebildtzijl, Rottevalle, Surhuisterveen, Ternaard, Veenwouden, and Zwaagwesteinde.
