Mennonite Mutual Aid Association (Kalona, Iowa, USA)

Mennonite Mutual Aid Association, Kalona, Iowa, a mutual fire and storm insurance organization, organized originally in 1913 as the Mennonite Aid Plan of Iowa, was reorganized and incorporated in 1948 under its present name, in Washington County. It had permission to do business in this county and any other adjoining it. In 1957, with a property coverage of $14,000,000, it had over 800 members. Membership in the association was open to "persons of the Mennonite or Amish faith who are in good standing in their church."
