The Mennonite Cyclopedic Dictionary, subtitled as A Compendium of the Doctrines, History, Activities, Literature and Environments of the Mennonite Church (Scottdale, 1937), was a condensed reference manual of 445 pages, with mostly short articles, was not only edited but also largely written by Daniel Kauffman. The subject matter was limited largely to the Mennonite Church (MC). It included, besides a large number of biographies and brief sketches of congregations and institutions, thumbnail genealogical reports on 382 Mennonite families.
