Fraser Heights Community Church originated through outreach by the British Columbia Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches Board of Church Extension. The church began services in 1992 and formally organized in 1993. Merv and Carol Boschman are considered the founding leaders of the group. In January 1999 the congregation merged with Northside Community Church, a nondenominational church in the Fraser Heights area of Surrey that was started around 1992. Ed Wiebe was pastor of the Fraser Heights congregation at the time of the merge, and continued in that position until the end of August that year.

In 2000 worship services were held at the Pacific Academy School on 10238 168 Street. The congregation closed in the fall of 2000, and members joined other congregations.
