Schopfheim (Baden-Württemberg, Germany)

Schopfheim, a town (population in 1959, 4,649; in 2005, 19,319) in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, about 10 miles northeast of Basel, is the seat of a small Mennonite congregation which is a member of the <em>Gemeindeverband</em> and was organized in 1949 by members of the Ueberlingen congregation living in or near the town. In 1957 the membership (baptized and children) was 31. Services were held in Steinen im Wiesental by visiting ministers since there was no resident minister.
