Bouman family
Bouman, a former Mennonite family of Emden, East Friesland, Germany. Two of its members went into the ministry. Hermanus Lambertus Bouman (d. 1865) served 1819-1824 at ?, 1824-1834 at Makkum, and 1834-1864 at Veenwoudsterwal. His son Heyke Uden Heykes Bouman (1828-1878) was pastor of Den Ilp-Landsmeer 1853-1854 and Noord-Zijpe 1854-1878. Both had been educated at the Amsterdam Mennonite seminary.
