Bartholomeus Potbacker (d. 1555)
Bartholomeus Potbacker (Bartholomeus Cornelissen), an Anabaptist martyr of Berghen, i.e., Bergen op Zoom, Dutch province of North Brabant, was executed on the market square at Antwerp on 22 November 1555, because he had been rebaptized and persisted in his "wicked opinion." His name is listed in the song, "Aenhoort Godt, hemelsche Vader" (Hear, O God, heavenly Father), No. 16 of the Liedtboecxken van den Offer des Heeren.
