In February 2006, Willow Park Church launched a satellite campus called Willow Park Metro Campus. The congregation has a focus on people who are homeless and on the fringe of society. In 2011 the congregation described itself as seeking "to connect with the homeless, lost and down-trodden of Kelowna; to disciple those who accept Christ and bring about transformation in their lives through the Holy Spirit; to restore the marginalized and broken into relationship with Christ and his people; and to empower those seeking and newly come to Christ to serve and experience the joys of fellowship and community in the Metro Community."

Metro Community Church joined the British Columbia Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches in April 2011.
