Good, Solomon R. (1871-1933)
Solomon R. Good, a leader in the Illinois Mennonite Conference, was born at Dale Enterprise, Virginia, 3 March 1871, the son of Bishop Christian and Anna (Heatwole) Good; died at Sterling, Illinois, 17 May 1933; married 27 January 1898 to Martha E. Burkholder (3 children); deacon of the Science Ridge Mennonite (MC) Church 1923-1933, he was active in district and general church work. For many years he was a member of the Mennonite Board of Education, and its treasurer for some time. He was also long a member of the General Conference Music Committee, and for some years president of the Illinois Mennonite Mission Board.
