Welcome Tidings, a weekly 4-page 6.5 x 10.5 inch tract paper for use in Sunday schools, published by the Mennonite Publishing Company at Elkhart, Indiana. The first issue was about 1 April 1887, the last December 1895, when the Words of Cheer became a weekly (January 1896) taking its place. The Mennonite Historical Library in Goshen, Indiana has an almost complete file. The German issue was Angenehme Stunden. In the first period it suspended publication during the winter months since few Sunday schools operated "evergreen."
