The Peace Mennonite congregation in La Crete, AB formally organized in 1979. The congregation originated through colonization of northern Alberta.

In 1985 there were 45 members; in 1995, 20; in 2000, 44. The congregation has been affiliated with the Nationwide Fellowship Churches. The language of worship is English.

Bishop John A. Baer served in 2000 as a non-salaried congregational leader.
