Ordnungsgemein  (Ortnungsgmee  in Pennsylvania German) is the Old Order Amish term for the "counsel meeting" held preliminary to holding the communion service, when all matters of discipline needing attention were dealt with and the congregation brought into accord with the "Ordnung" or regulations of the church.
