The Roselawn Mennonite Church in Elkhart, Indiana, was a mission outpost of the Prairie Street Mennonite Church in Elkhart. Prairie Street conducted surveys in northeast Elkhart in 1947 and 1949 and decided to erect a meetinghouse in the Roselawn Addition of the city in August 1949 on two acres of land it purchased. By 2 April 1950, services could be held in the basement of the new facility. The main auditorium became available in February 1951, but the church building was not dedicated until 14 October 1951.

In about 1990, Roselawn began to hold services in both English and Spanish and initiated outreach to Hispanics in Elkhart.

In 2003, the congregation decided to refocus after being without a pastor for a year or more. Nancy and Juan Carlos Lora arrived from New York City with a desire to pastor a Spanish-speaking church. This new collaboration led to a new worship style and the decision to change the congregation's name to True Vine Tabernacle.

In 2018, True Vine Tabernacle withdrew from the Indiana-Michigan Mennonite Conference of Mennonite Church USA. It then joined LMC: a Fellowship of Anabaptist Churches.
