Tri Lakes Community Church (Bristol, Indiana, USA)
The Tri Lakes Chapel began in a former schoolhouse four miles east of Union, Michigan on 4 September 1960 as an outreach of the Pleasant View Mennonite Church in Goshen, Indiana. It was organized as a congregation and became a member of the Indiana-Michigan Mennonite Conference of the Mennonite Church (MC) in August 1961.
In the early 1960s, the congregation purchased land just across the Michigan-Indiana border north of Bristol, Indiana. It dedicated a new church meetinghouse on 1 May 1966. In 1987/88, Tri Lakes Chapel expanded into a new sanctuary and Sunday school addition and changed its name to Tri Lakes Community Church.
In 1998, the congregation withdrew from the Indiana-Michigan Mennonite Conference of Mennonite Church USA. Tri Lakes Community Church became part of a small group of six churches called Radical Restorations Ministries founded by Dale Stoll. These churches were committed to "1) Remaining faithful to the root principles embodied in the New Testament Church; 2) Connecting to the historical radical church, including, but not limited to, the Anabaptists, and 3) Embracing the present move of God."[1]
Sometime after 2011, Tri Lakes became a non-denominational charismatic community church after Radical Restorations Ministries ended.
