Berhane Wongel Ethiopian Evangelical Church (Chicago, Illinois, USA)
The Ethiopian Evangelical Church of Chicago, Illinois, USA began in 1987. It joined the Illinois Mennonite Conference of the Mennonite Church (MC) in 1995.
Around 2002, the congregation changed its name to Berhane Wongel Ethiopian Evangelical Church, later shortened to Berhane Wongel Evangelical Church.
The Berhane Wongel Ethiopian Church was still listed as a member congregation of the Illinois Mennonite Conference of Mennonite Church USA in 2023, but without contact information.
