First Mennonite Church (General Conference Mennonite) in Lostwood, Mountrail County, North Dakota, now extinct, was founded in 1922 by five families with 12 charter members, who had settled here from Mountain Lake, Minnesota about 1916. Nickolai F. Toews, who pastored at Alsen, helped with the organization.

First Mennonite joined the Northern District of the General Conference Mennonite Church in 1922.

John D. Warkentin, a schoolteacher, served as a part-time minister at the beginning.

The meetinghouse was built two miles (3 km.) west of Lostwood in 1923. In 1929 the membership reached its high point with 60. Because of the drought, the congregation dissolved in 1937, the families moving mostly to Warroad, Minnesota, where they organized the Woodland Mennonite Church.

The Lostwood church property was sold in 1962.
