Panorama Community Church (Surrey, British Columbia, Canada)
The Panorama Community Church in Surrey, BC began services in December 1990 and formally organized in 1991. The congregation originated as an effort of the Board of Church Extension of the British Columbia Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches. Panorama Community Church emphasized a more contemporary worship style at the time of its formation. Peter Nikkel served as the senior pastor from the congregation's formation.
In 2002 the church met at the Bell Centre for the Performing Arts, 6248 144th St., Surrey, BC. It earlier met in the Panorama Park Elementary School (1990-1995) and Seaquam High School (1995-2002).
In September 2005 Panorama Community Church and Peace Arch Fellowship integrated into one congregation and selected the name Gracepoint Community Church in early 2006. Peter Nikkel continued to serve as senior pastor. In 2006 the congregation held two services weekly at 3487 King George Highway Surrey, BC (the former Peace Arch Fellowship sanctuary) and one at the Bell Centre, 6248 144th Avenue, Surrey, BC (the former Panorama Community Church site).
