Sunnyside Mennonite Church (Sarasota, Florida, USA)
The Sunnyside Mennonite Church in Sarasota, Florida, USA was established in 1968. The congregation started as a non-conference Mennonite Church by W. J. Overholt and others who began the Sunnyside Nursing Home. The congregation asked that Lester Gingerich of Plain City, Ohio pastor the congregation in 1970; at this time affiliation was made with the Beachy Amish Mennonite Fellowship.
In the winter months attendance can increase to 400, with visitors from a wide variety of Mennonite and Amish churches.
In 2017 the church was a member of the Beachy Amish Mennonite Fellowship and had a membership of 85. The bishops were Lester J. Gingerich and Bill Yoder, and the ministers were Jason Gingerich and Perry E. Miller.
