The Chinese Grace Mennonite congregation in Vancouver, British Columbia began services in 1981. Daniel Cheung is considered the founding leader of the group. The congregation originated through outreach by the Vancouver Chinese Mennonite Church, and joined the Conference of Mennonites in British Columbia in 1983.

In 2012 Samson Lo was the lead pastor for Chinese Grace, which had worshipers ranging from teenagers to seniors in their eighties. Both Cantonese and English services are held, the English service having begun in fall 2001. The English service is contemporary in style, with the Chinese more traditional.

In 2017 the congregation decided to leave Mennonite Church British Columbia and become an independent congregation.

Programs over the years have included English classes, community outreach, a seniors’ ministry, and the Awana children’s ministry.
