The Bethel Bergthaler Mennonite congregation began services and formally organized in 1965. The first building was occupied in 1965. The congregation originated as a church plant of the Winkler Bergthaler Mennonite church.

Pastor Randy Smart served in 2009 as a congregational leader. In 1965 there were 48 members; in 1975, 162; in 1985, 252; in 1995, 274. The congregation was originally affiliated with the Conference of Mennonites in Manitoba and Conference of Mennonites in Canada. The language of worship is English.

The church is now an unaffiliated Mennonite church.
