The Pineridge Fellowship Chapel at Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan traces its beginning to the outreach that the Evangelical Mennonite Conference began in this logging and farming community in the early 1960s through Vacation Bible School and film presentations by Ernest Funk. In 1965 Ben D. Reimer, Edwin Wright and Lester Olfert explored the area. Worship services began in 1965, first held in the trailer home of Virgil and Velma Scharfenberg, and then moved to the basement of Tom Leggit’s home. Lester Olfert from nearby Weekes served as the group’s first minister.

In the fall of 1966 the White Poplar School building was purchased and moved onto a new basement foundation and the name Pineridge Fellowship Chapel was adopted.

In 1967 renovations occurred and Andrew Dueck, from Riverton, Manitoba became the first resident pastor. Church organization and dedication occurred on 23 June 1968 with six members. The facility was further expanded in 1982 with a dedication held on 23 May 1982.

Fred and Irene Buhler, former missionaries in Paraguay, were a long-serving pastoral couple at Pineridge Fellowship Chapel, having served for over 18 years and still serving in 2017. In 2016 Kevin and Irene Young were serving as youth leaders.

In 2016 the average attendance was 40; there were 21 members. The services were in English. The members were coming from many cultural and church backgrounds. Pineridge Chapel was serving as a community evangelical church.
