Konrad (Coenraet, Coenraad, Conraad, Conrad) Koch, an Anabaptist martyr of Honnef on the Rhine, in the Löwenberg area of the duchy of Berg, Germany, was beheaded there on 26 November 1565 after he had remained true and steadfast through a long imprisonment. From prison he wrote two short letters describing his life and asserting his determination to suffer death for his faith. He asks his friends' intercession, that the Lord might give him the strength to do so, to God's glory and his own salvation. The book Güldene Aepffel in Silbern Schalen prints his letters (pp. 132-136) and says that he came from Leuenburch (Löwenberg). With Heinrich Koenen of Breidtbach (of whom nothing else is known) he wrote the song, "Hört zu, ihr Christen alle."
