Egges, Lubbert (1706/7-1770)
Lubbert Egges, born 1706 or 1707, died 11 April 1770, who in 1739 became preacher of the congregation at Uithuizen and in 1755 was chosen elder of the Groningen Old Flemish conference. In this capacity he faithfully visited the churches, as his careful notes show. His daughter Eltje dedicated an interesting epitaph to him (Doopsgezinde Bijdragen). His "Aanteekeningen van eene rondreize" was published in Doopsgezind Jaarboekje.
