Calgary Chinese Mennonite Church (Calgary, Alberta, Canada)
The Calgary Chinese Mennonite congregation began services in 1981. The first building was occupied in 1987. Ezekiel Wong is considered the founding leader of the group. The congregation originated through outreach by Foothills Mennonite Church and the Conference of Mennonites in Alberta. Until 1986 the group held services alternately with the Vietnamese Mennonite group at Foothills Mennonite Church.
Minister Daniel Kong served in 2000 as a congregational leader. In 1995 there were 85 members; in 2000 70; in 2009 60. The congregation has been affiliated with Mennonite Church Alberta and the Conference of Mennonites in Canada / Mennonite Church Canada (1989-). In 2009 Hugo and Doreen Neufeld provided interim pastoral leadership until Joseph Loui became pastor in 2010.
