Forest Grove Church, near 100 Mile House, started in 1986 as an offshoot of 108 Chapel, a nondenominational church originally started by the Mennonite Brethren. The church had done some significant outreach into its community, but it struggled and asked to join the British Columbia Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches, which it did in May 2000. Soon after, Harvey and Gloria Guenther were appointed as the church's pastoral couple. In June 2009 it was reported to the BC Conference of MB Churches that the congregation had ceased to operate and that the land and buildings were being deeded to the Salvation Army for work in the Forest Grove community.
