Buck Creek Mennonite Church (Richland Center, Wisconsin, USA)
The Buck Creek Mennonite Church of Richland Center, Wisconsin had its roots in a Sunday school outreach to the area by the Noah Hege family in 1963. Initially meetings were held in the community center. In 1968 some Conservative Mennonite Conference congregations in the Kalona, Iowa area investigated planting a church at Richland Center. Minister Jesse Beachy and a few other families moved to the area. A former United Brethren church building was purchased at that time.
The rural nature of the congregation has meant that moving away of families has a large impact on the congregation and the operation of the Christian Day School that has been part of the congregation. The congregation was unaffiliated until 1981 despite its early Conservative Mennonite Conference connections. It then joined the Midwest Mennonite Fellowship.
In 2014 the ministerial team included Ministers Steve Graber and Joel Butikofer and Deacon Marlin Good.
