Anthonis (d. 1558)
Anthonis, a martyr, was executed at Antwerp by the sword for the sake of Christ, together with Hendrik Leerverkooper and Dirck de Schilder in 1558. His name is found in the song, "Aenhoort Godt, hemelsche Vader" (Hear, O God, heavenly Father) (Liedtboecxken van den Offer des Heeren, No. 16). This martyr is identical with Antonis van Houtere.
