Zurflüh, Abraham

Abraham Zurflüh was one of the leading Mennonite emigrants from the Bernese Jura to the United States. In early March 1852 Abraham Zurflüh, of Chaluet near Court, started out with a group from Münster. A letter written by him at Bluffton, Ohio, describing the status of the Swiss at that place and of the congregation in Putnam County, was published in 1889 in the Zionspilger. Until into the 20th century he corresponded with his brethren and relatives in the Bernese Jura.
