Emmaus Church (Surrey, British Columbia, Canada)
Emmaus Church was launched under the auspices of the British Columbia (BC) Conference of Mennonite Brethren (MB) Churches’ Church Planting BC in the fall of 2009. The congregation formally joined the provincial conference in April 2010. During its first year the congregation met in the Pacific Heights Elementary School and was led by church planters Dave and Bev Ellis. The congregation’s focus was on the Grandview Heights community in South Surrey.
The church was not able to achieve financial sustainability and held its final service on 2 March 2014.
