Reincke, a Mennonite family name, found at Danzig, West Prussia, Germany, since 1641. A Wilhelm Reincke of Danzig was married to Anna Suderman about 1680. In Königsberg, East Prussia, a Wilhelm Reincke is mentioned; he was a brewer who had moved in from Danzig. He is very likely identical with Wilhelm Reynke, who was named in the [[Naamlijst der tegenwoordig in dienst zijnde predikanten der Mennoniten in de Vereenigde Nederlanden|Naamlijst]] as a preacher of the Königsberg Mennonite congregation 1751-58. Giesbrecht Reincke, a "Dutch weaver," and Johann Reincke, "in trade with silk, wool, and camel's hair yarns," who are named in 1777 and 1789 as Mennonites, may have been sons of Wilhelm. Johann was a well-to-do citizen. There were formerly some members of this family in the Hamburg-Altona Mennonite congregation.
