Novopokrovsk was a volost in the province of Ekaterinoslav, Russia (now Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Ukraine), in which the Mennonite villages of Elisabeththal and Gerhardsthal were founded in 1860 and 1861, each with about 2,700 acres of land and (in 1926) 126 inhabitants.
