Johann von Bruck (or Jan van Bruggen), pseudonym adopted by David Joris, under which he lived in Basel from 1544 until his death in 1556. The von Bruck family, descendants of David Joris' oldest son Georg (Jörg), lived in Basel until 1750, when the last male descendant, the saddler Johann Jakob von Bruck, died there 30 May.
