Abraham Philippus Mellin (Mellinus, Mailing), (dates of birth and death unknown), was in the early 17th century a Reformed pastor at St. Anthonispolder, Dutch province of South Holland. He published the Eerste deel van het Groot Rechtgevoelende Christen Martelaers-Boeck . . . (Dordrecht, 1619). This martyr book deals only with the Christian martyrs until 1520; Mellin's intention to continue his work and list also the martyrs of the Reformation period was not carried out. Mellin's book, which shows evidence of thorough scholarship, was used by T. J. van Braght for his Martyrs Mirror. In 1656 it was severely criticized by the Catholic Arnout van Geluwe.
